Obesity is an epidemic. A couple of decades ago, the average grade school playground might have one or two noticeably obese kids, and maybe a handful of “chunky kids.” Now, that picture is much different. Every year, the number of children who are considered to be overweight or obese increases. This is a disease that they inherit from their parents, both through some genetic markers and, more often, by lifestyle environment. There are many factors that contribute to this increase in childhood obesity - poor diet and sedentary daily habits being the largest contributors. Unfortunately, most people want to apply a simplistic solution to a complex problem. It is easy to lament about too much time in front of screens, to wish for the good ole days of playing tag, and to wax poetically about kids playing outside until the street lights came on. This doesn't mean that kids shouldn't engage in more outside activity; of course they should! It also doesn't mean that kids shouldn't spend less time in front of the Game Boy, PC, or, X-Box. However, the fact is this: a child who is obese isn't likely to change his or her situation by simply playing outside more often. Weight loss is best achieved through nutritional management in addition to a smart exercise program. The website http://wechangelivesdaily.com is a great place for parents to start. Parents can join their children in learning a multitude of diet tips from http://wechangelivesdaily.com. Kids are often told they can lose weight by playing outside more often, and, when no results are achieved, they and their parents give up. Their parents are told that they can get into shape by attending a few Zumba or aerobics classes a week. Even worse, they're told that they can achieve the weight loss they desire by walking around the block or going through a few circuits at the gym. These long term medium intensity work outs never do the trick. The fact is this: two types of activity trigger permanent loss of body fat and gain of strength. These are resistance and burst training. Resistance is exactly what it sounds like - forcing muscles to work against resistance builds and tones muscles. It also forces the metabolism up. Burst training involves sudden, short term, and intense bursts of activities. This triggers a “fight or flight” response that switches the body from fat storing to fat burning mode. The pros at http://wechangelivesdaily.com have lots of tips and tricks on burst and resistance training. Don't be tricked into joining a gym or buying a treadmill. After a month or two of lackluster results, it won't be worth it, and driving by the gym will only cause feelings of guilt. The treadmill will just collect dust. There is a solution to obesity that works; there is a way to truly good health. Take a look at http://wechangelivesdaily.com and learn how to eat and move. Many people have taken the step and now enjoy happy and active lifestyles they never imagined possible. This is truly the real deal. No overnight promises. Users of the products and advice from this site will get results only if they commit to them! Get on your road to good health with a weight loss program that actually works. diet, weight loss
