I wanted to take the time to talk to you about your snoring problem and how you can fix it. This is one of these odd problems. Not for any scientific reason, but for the fact that society as a whole knows nothing about it. There is absolutely no conventional wisdom on how to fix the problem. If you were to poll people as they walked down the street and asked them how to fix snoring they wouldn't be able to give you answer. Sure, you'd get some answers like surgery or weight loss, but those really aren't solutions that are going to necessarily provide the results. That's why I'm going to help educate you by teaching you about the snoring problem. Understand what really is happening will give you a step up on beating it. There is a specific physics reason why you produce these sounds. When air goes through a tube, it doesn't make a sound. But if that tube gets narrowed at one point it might wheeze. This can be easily demonstrated by blowing air in a straw. The problem is only compounded when you have loose tissue in the throat that vibrates too. That is essentially what is happening with a snoring problem. The reason that you experience this narrowing in the tube of your throat is due to your jaw. Your jaw falls open and puts pressure on the throat. Using a chin strap you can keep the jaw off the throat and avoid the whole problem. It's as easy as it gets for a problem like this.
