I just came across with a very interesting poll at the nj.com website related if the Congress should pass the law and legislation regarding sports betting. The questions was really simple and I would like to share the information with you, the question is the follow: “Should congress pass a bill that would outlaw sports betting in U.S.?” Of course I participate in the poll and voted for what I think is the right answer for me, and I got some important information about this poll. Of course the majority of the voters said that “YES”, we are talking about 52.12% think the Congress should pass a law to forbid sports betting in the United States. At the moment I voted on the poll there was a total of 5,767 votes, so a total of 3,006 voted to pass and approve a law. U.S. Senator Lindsay Graham and California Senator Dianne Feinsten are the ones sponsoring the law and introduced the legislation to outlaw web sports betting across the United States and try to eliminate the multi-billion dollar business in different parts of the country. On the other hand is also important to say that the poll is very close on the results because 42.27 % (a difference of 9.85%) are not in favor of passing a law to banned from the Unites States the sports betting activity, as well there are two New Jersey's Senators Robert Menendez and Cory Booker are going to put up a fight to stop the bill from passing and send the sports betting industry back into the underground world where can't be regulated and where the government won't have access to the revenue they are expecting from the industry, that according to the source is around US$ 1.2 Billion by the July of 2014. In Recent activity about the sports betting world, New Jersey's just adopted, a couple of days ago, a law allowing the sports betting may be in jeopardy because the opposite force introduced to the congress the Legislation to ban sports betting on the Internet with support from both houses. Still there is a lot to say and debate about this matter that involves the whole population of the United State and the preferences of the population is still around 50 – 50 percent where 50 of them are in favor and 50 are not about the law. New Jersey Democratic Senator Bob Menendez said "Blanket prohibition of Internet gaming will empower black market operators at the expense of responsible states like New Jersey which have invested in creating a secure Internet gaming structure," and add, "This bill would have the perverse effect of putting millions of American poker players at risk while doing nothing to prevent minors from playing online, combat fraud or crack down on other illegal activities." Is it good, is it bad, how long will they continue with the struggle about sports betting industry and where is going to end this crisis, I know there are many things to consider, but if you really consider the good or the bad the industry is doing, then they should think doing the same to other ones that are creating more damage than the sports betting world.
