The stock's price action should be on the mind of every stock trader before they get ready to hit the buy button. Traders need to have enough conviction in making that trade at the lowest possible risk. If you are wrong and price moves against you, for the novice trader with no stop loss in place they will lose money. Pain is directly proportional to the momentum of price action and the degree of movement from the entry.
