A Sewage treatment plant is the need of the day today. With a capability of converting the waste into 95 percent clean water, it effectively contributes to a clean and healthy environment. Electric based sewage treatment plant These systems have a packaged unit that has an electrical circuit for operating the system. There are multiple models with varying needs of electricity requirement because their treatment methods are different. Solar-powered model is also there, which is an environment-friendly option. Typically, electricity consumption varies from 35 Wt per hour to 150 Wt per hour. There are two types of systems; 2-Stage and 3-Stage system. · 2-stage plant: In these systems there are two chambers. Sewage goes to an aerated chamber. Here all solid particles and pollutants of liquid are digested. The digested substance moves to another chamber that is called ‘clarification chamber’ because the liquid gets converted into clear water and solid parts go back to the digestion chamber. The process gets repeated. · 3-stage plant: There is an additional stage in this system. First, the sewage is kept in a chamber where the solid gets settled down. It moves to an aerated chamber for digestion. This chamber has rotating discs to enhance the flow of the air. From this chamber, it moves to the last chamber where clear water and solids are separated again. Statistically, it is 95 percent clean. Hence, there shouldn’t be any problem in sending it to the drainage system or water reservoirs. However, it depends on local administration. Maintenance of electric based sewage treatment plant It depends on the load and occupancy of the system. If the system is overloaded, then treated water needs to be frequently removed. Since the water is totally odorless and clear, normally authorities do not raise any objection to it. These cleaning systems are greatly efficient, useful and environment-friendly. They play a critical role in keeping the surroundings clean, and water reservoirs pollution-free. Non-electric based sewage treatment plant If you are in search of an economical and easy way of treating waste water and sewage, then non-electric based system is the best option. It doesn’t need a long list of spare parts, and they are highly effective and efficient. Being a non-electric based system; it is the ’GREEN’ way of making the environment clean. These systems save huge amount of CO2 emissions per house per year. Isn’t it an incredible help to the Mother Earth? STP is must in big industrial houses. To maintain clean and pollution free environment, a sewage treatment method is very much essential.
