I (and my licensed teachers who teach my specialized curriculum) specialize in private instruction, because it is much more fun for us as instructors to see our students progress about 8-10 times more quickly than students who take lessons in a class setting. Nothing can beat individualized guitar instruction.:) The result is that we get to work all the time with students who are always super happy, super positive, driven, motivated and satisfied because they see results they did not even imagine possible. This makes our work as teachers much more fun and gratifying. The many testimonials on Yelp and on our website, reflect the successes and happiness of our students. I understand and agree that private instruction indeed is more expensive than classroom instruction; but you always get the results and quality you pay for in life of course, as you know. The math is fun: if it takes a student who pays $15 a lesson for class room lessons, about 6 lessons (which is a conservative estimate, it's typically more) to get the same results, attention, progress and understanding that our students experience in only 1 lesson, then that person paid $90 for that lesson, which means that our students (who pay $60) save $30 a lesson compared to the class room student. (of course: we also offer discount plans on packages) This is fairly easy to measure: Many students who took guitar lessons in classes in the past, eventually end up studying with us, and can't believe the difference in educational quality, level and results. It's not us, but the students themselves who repeatedly mention over and over again that they "learned and progressed more in past month than in past year"... or "learned more in this one lessons than in past 2 months of lessons". We get that all the time. The sad part of course: is the huge regret we see on the student's face when they realize how much more fun they could have been having with guitar and music if they had studied with us right away. People who are concerned about the tuition: can choose to have 2 lessons a month for example rather than weekly, or have the lessons with a friend so the student can benefit from duo discounts, etc.. When you meet for lesson with a friend/acquaintance who wants to learn guitar too, you don't get the full individualized attention, but you still get to take advantage of our specialized curriculum, and of all the reasons why we are considered the top guitar program in LA. As a result: you will still get much more out of the lessons than you would in a class setting. The cheaper guitar instructor or guitar lesson program, is typically not the one that will save you money. In addition: higher quality guitar and music instruction is an investment in much more than just your talent and your personal development.
