Maybe you're earning your online high school diploma, or maybe you attend a traditional brick and mortar school. It doesn't matter if you're attending school online or in a physical school, summer is almost over and millions of kids and teens from across the country are getting ready to head back to school. Everybody vows to make their next school year better than the last, but they can have some difficulty figuring out what to improve. IF you're read to have the best school year possible, remember to keep these tips in mind. Go to bed earlier A few weeks off can do a lot of harm to a normal sleep schedule, and if you want to have a good school year you're going to need to get back on a normal schedule. You won't be able to spend weeks going to be at midnight and waking up at noon and be able to magically get up and go to school on time. Save yourself a lot of sleepless nights and exhausting afternoons and start going to bed earlier now. Try going to sleep and waking up a half hour earlier each day for two weeks. By the end of the two weeks you'll have a healthy schedule again. Review what you learned last year Some people think that the first week of school is dedicated to review syllabi, getting to know teachers, and doing ice breaker activities. You'll be doing plenty of that, but your guaranteed to have a few teachers that will want to test your knowledge of what you learned last school year. Do yourself a favor and take out some of your old notebooks and textbooks to do a few review sessions. Simply looking over the material a few times can be enough to help you remember some of the facts you learned last year. Start limiting time online and in front of the TV You're going to miss spending endless hours online and in front of the television once you go back to school. Switching from generally doing what you want to being in school for eight hours is a drastic change, but if you want to make the change less jarring you should start limiting how much time you spend on your computer and in front of the TV. Start limiting your time online and watching TV by a half hour every day, and eventually you'll find that you barely even miss it.
