Safety is an essential need in every company. This is because workplace security is vital for the health and well-being of every person. First, diseases and other hazards affect both employers and employees' ability to perform duties at work effectively. Second, a safe work environment is critical in preventing the spread of threatening illnesses and diseases. Next, health and safety programmes prevent harm from happening in the place of work. One of the most dangerous occupations in the world is being a construction worker. Construction sites have greater frequency of injury rates and workplace hazards than any other industries. There are approximately 6.5 million people at risk of potential hazards in construction sites across the nation on any given day, according to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Because of this, employers have the legal duty to keep their employees in a healthy and safe environment all the time. The industry requires that all workers undergo trade assessments, plant training and construction training to reduce the incidence rate of injury and accidents amongst construction workers. In the United Kingdom, all contractors, public and private clients, plant operators and others must past one of the most comprehensive and respected exams in the industry: Construction Skills and Certification Scheme (CSCS) along with the Construction Plant Competent Scheme (CPCS). Both card schemes include hundreds of occupations in the construction business. The CSCS cards relate to those applicants who want to reach an agreed level of professional competence in the construction industry. If you are applying for the first time, the certification exam is usually subdivided into the following categories, namely; Health, Safety and Environment Test. Once you passed all the exams, the card is sent to you as proof of competence. Typically, most cards are valid for 5 years depending on the profession and qualifications of the applicant. Applicants can apply for the card directly through the organisation or by means of their employers. On the other hand, the CPCS cards are an identification scheme that intends to assess the skills of plant operators. As a rule, the certification exam is separated into three, namely; professional competence, health and safety awareness. This scheme aims to help plant operators in proving their skills to employers. It assesses the operator's ability to efficiently handle plant equipment. As a result, clients and employers are given the benefit of hiring someone who has the appropriate qualifications and experience to do the job.
