Having a restoration company clean your house and belongings will cost more, but is definitely a more efficient choice in making sure your home is fully cleaned. Aside from all this there are ways to prevent and prepare you for situations like this. Make sure that all fire detectors in your home are working in case of a fire. In the winter time make sure that appliances are working properly. If you aren’t using an appliance unplug them. Even if it is off there is still electricity passing through it and that can accidentally cause a fire. Never leave flammable material by open flames such as stoves and candles.
