For any business entity who are about the give a sales pitch one of the most important to consider is the presentation that is going to shown to their prospective clients. The presentation should be able to provide an overall perspective of the company's strength in providing the services in a manner that cannot be provided by other service providers. The company sales and marketing team should really plan well and come with a presentation design that will be capable of getting the attention of the client. The marketing and sales should make use of the existing repository of presentation and take the content that is applicable to the present times. As older presentations will contain text relevant to that period, the sales people can take the structure of the presentation and make the suitable changes to reflect the current time. After arriving at the overall structure of the sales presentation, the marketing team should then decide on the type of the medium through the sales pitch will be made. Microsoft PowerPoint has been widely used as the presentation platform as it gives the flexibility to the user to show the presentations in the form of individual slides. One can also change the order of the slides to suit the customer’s requirements. Though sales people still use PowerPoint software, there are other exciting alternatives that are available such as the Adobe Flash. Adobe Flash provides the capability to the sales people to work collaboratively over the net and then come out with a great sales presentation. Since the team prepares the presentation the thoughts and ideas of all the members in the sales team will be shared across the board. This gives even the junior member in the sales team to contribute to the sales pitch. Adobe Flash also has the flexibility of presenting the details in the form of slides. Additionally Flash has the capability to include any video content as a part of the presentation. Though PowerPoint also provides the ability to incorporate videos, in Adobe Flex, the users have the flexibility to simultaneously show both textual content and the videos related to it. Animations and computer-simulated graphics can be included easily by inserting it into a relevant location. These are some of the advantages provided by Flex over PowerPoint. Flex also has the capability to be embedded as part of a PowerPoint presentation, but admittedly has a longer learning curve when compared to PowerPoint.
