ISTANBUL , May 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Turkcell (NYSE: TKC, ISE: TCELL) , the leading communications and technology company, is delightedto announce that based on the 3G speed test run by PCNet; atechnology magazine in Turkey , Turkcell is by far the leader in 3G download speed at 11.9 Mbpson average. A PCNet reporter flew 5,624 kilometers to run 2,136 3G speed testsat 59 points in 9 cities, representing 7 regions of Turkey . Turkcell, with an average 3G download speed 3 times greaterthan the other players in the market, has been by far the leader atboth data download and upload speed. Out of nine cities wherethe tests were run, Istanbul has seen the highest 3G download speed of 14.05 Mbps and Gaziantepthe lowest of 9.12 Mbps on the Turkcell network.
