Unfortunately, this is a true fact. But the main question remains – which one of our finite resources will be the first that will be totally depleted? Just like the Vancouver real estate bubble, it can suddenly appear and a lot of damage. A lot of us simply don't get that we are really running out of our precious resources due to the recent "discoveries" and thanks to our politicians and their agenda. Certainly, many discoveries really were accomplished and, for example, thanks to them we can now recover a small amount of used oil. With modern technology, we can recover more than 175 billion barrels of crude oil! What is so worrying about the whole situation however is that not really a lot of people realize the fact that with this current and always increasing pace, our essential resources are being used up more than ten times faster! As a whole planet, we are still as oil-hungry as ever. If we do not alter our vast dependency on fossil fuels like gas or oil, we are, without a doubt, in a big trouble. There is a lot of methods how to make sure we will not run out of our crucial resources in any time soon - oil recovery, bio fuels, recycling. Sure these methods have some drawback, not everything is perfect and it's not as a profiting business as the others, more polluting, are. There unless we begin getting rich from these types of business, we will not be seeing any real attempts to help save and preserve our resources.
