It is a very easy concept to run your own successful online business once you have dotted the i’s and crossed the T’s. The first thing you must do is learn how to run your own business and then after that you can consider teaching others how to do the same. Alternatively this is the time when you also help others with their own online business through your own services. Services are extremely popular and all internet marketers need help with one task or another. I know from experience the need for help with my own online business and as I type out this Blog post I have 32 outsourcers just with ONE outsource company. I have outsourcers for all kinds of tasks from building up my traffic to writing jobs in my variety of online niches. However when I look for an outsourcer that person that I trust in doing a task for me MUST be experienced in it! This is why I say how important it is not to run before you can walk. If you are an outsourcer providing a task and you can’t even do it on your own business why would others trust you and part with their own hard earned cash. I read an advert in my local expats newspaper in Portugal last week and this is the reason why I wrote this Blog post. This was a business advertisement for SEO services and I nearly fell off my chair laughing. For starters it didn’t look professional at all which is a real shame because when you are competing in a local paper this is an absolute must. The service they offered seemed a bit strange and that was what caught my attention. Normally when people offer SEO it is to get you in a certain position for certain keywords but instead all they were offering was to provide you with a page rank and if they didn’t get you one you would get your money back! So I decided to visit their website and to see how professional their services actually were. This was the biggest shock of the lot – the pages had little content on them with a few Blog posts that were three lines long and nothing that would say to me “buy my services”. The worst part was that they didn’t have a Google page rank themselves and only had three backlinks coming through to their website. If they hadn’t put any work into their own business how on earth would they manage to do it to mine? When you see companies offering a service you often want to see that they are good at the job and this is why you should learn the task yourself before you either teach or sell the service to others. For example I offer Twitter management services but I built up my Twitter account and learnt everything there is to know about Twitter for a year before I offered it to my clients. Clients will never recommend you to others if you provide a less than expected service and this will leave you with a bad reputation very quickly.
