Autumn and winter are the two cool months to organize boat show events . During this months, new trends for next summer emerge: boats of every size and every price, accessories and clothing to face the sea. Not only in Italy but all over the world, it will celebrate the sea and since some years it’s turned into a business: in Stockholm, Barcelona, Moscow, Singapore, Amsterdam, Split. In every sailing event there are hundreds of thousands of visitors and boats exhibited. Only in Genova, one of the most popular fairs in the sector, in 2010 there were 1400 exhibitors representing 39 Countries, 2,300 boat (500 of which showed in the water), over 500 new models. Yachts as large as buildings, sailboats of 45 m… boat show events are an opportunity not only to buy but just to be enchanted in front of such beauty. The combination of technology and elegance is out in evidence, since now boats are not only models of efficiency and safety, but follow well-defined canons of style and rules of design. Vintage yachts are even more impressive and elegant, especially when they are sailboats. Those built before 1950 are considered historic, artistic and technical heritage. And like any self-respecting luxury home, these huge boats must protect themselves from thieves of water, the mysterious pirates. Inside many yachts is installed the best defense equipment. There are sonic weapons, non-lethal, to disperse the attackers, or radar and infrared cameras to capture the danger to 5 km away at night. Cabins bunkers to hide in case of attack, instead of the submarine tender and crew trained for combat.
