RWS AWARDED FMG ELLIE CAMP 1500EP WATER TREATMENT PLANT AND WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT 1600ep Modular Wastewater Treatment Plant Remote Water Services Have been awarded contract to design, supply and install a 1500ep Water Treatment Plant and a 1600ep Modular Wastewater Treatment Plant to Fortescue Metals Group's Ellie Camp which is located at Fortescue's Solomon Project in the heart of the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Remote Water Services have supplied and installed water and wastewater treatment plants on multiple Fortescue sites in the past. RWS have been selected by Fortescue for this project based on the quality, efficiency and reliability our existing units have delivered and the Ellie Camp installation will be no exception. The Water Treatment Plant includes features such as Media Filtration Units, Chlorination and PH Monitoring System with automatic dosing. The main components of the plant are housed in a 40ft container for ease of installation and relocation if required. The Wastewater Treatment Plant is an SBR Sequencing Batch Reactor style system built in a modular fashion. The system is made up of eight 40ft containers, external tanks and Inlet Screen works. Fortescue Metals Group have also requested the unit be capable of treating the effluent produced to "Class A" quality, the effluent will be suitable for re-use for such things as dust suppression and camp irrigation. Remote Water Services thanks Fortescue Metals Group for their continued custom and look forward to working with them on further projects. Our standard 200EP containerised unit is an advanced SBR type wastewater treatment plant based on the widely used 4 stage Bardenpho Biological Nutrient removal process. The system is designed to handle the harsh conditions of Western Australia as well as handling the variable nature of a mining camp. The unit was designed and built to meet all relevant Australian Standards as well as the Health Department Guidelines for disposing of wastewater. Operator safety and risk exposure is also an integral part of the design. The wastewater treatment plants are factory tested and are supplied with operation and maintenance manuals. Upon completion of manufacture and testing a RWS water technician will travel to site to commission the plant and provide on-site training for the personnel maintaining the plant. Remote Water Services design, manufacture and install containerised wastewater treatment plants to suit the most demanding requirements. Our units are primarily utilised on remote mine sites and rail camps and are built in a modular design to allow for future mine site growth. Remote Water Services containerised wastewater treatment plants service camps ranging from 40 to 2000 people. The main treatment facility is housed in a 40ft container to allow for ease of transportation, installation and if required, relocation. The 200Ep WWTP contains the following: • A flow through balanced treatment process • Treatment separation to ensure nutrient removal is consistent • Anaerobic, Anoxic and Aeration separation • Operator controlled adjustment to setup the plant for optimum treatment based on influent • Clarifier with return activated sludge and wasting capabilities • Chlorination • On-site sludge removal system with PAC dosing • Final effluent pump out tank and pump. • Wash down tap, hose with RPZ protection • Full access to hatches and inlet screen via hand railed walkway • External lighting • Small onsite footprint The WWTP has a power requirement of 3 phase, 63 amp (neutral required)
