A single word could go a long way. One of the most powerful weapons is not always those that bring out too much blood and destruction. It is not often those that goes together with noise. Words are considered one of the most powerful weapons one can ever have. It is instilled in you and no one can take it from you and not even copy it. With words, one can move someone and much more a group to do something that was once considered impossible. It all depends on how deliver it and the timing of delivery. Soft words can relieve ones heart, calm it and put some good spirit into your well being. Hard words can make your blood boil and temper rise. Be careful what you say to whom, because the delivery might be so wrong that it would not be interpreted the way you want it to be or they might also need what you have to say. On one seminar, a group of people were told to write any word of praise or greetings on small cards. Then they distribute it randomly. After a while, smiles crossed to sad and gloomy faces. Others come to wipe tears on their faces and still there are those on whose face you can see a light on. I was so touched by this activity that I decided to do it one here in our block, my own version. I thought of saying anything wonderful that comes to my mind to the person whom I will meet or cross upon. But they might think I am crazy especially when they do not know me. So I thought of writing it down on cards. I am very fond of collecting stuffs and putting them together creating an art. I love to make something out of shreds and cuttings. So I decided to make a card on my own and write a wonderful thought on it. I distributed the cards as I walk down the block. What a pleasant day it was. People’s faces changed from shocked to enlightened, happy and most of them had a smile across their face after opening the card. They might be having their own problems but the card did move them and in a way added something into their lives. Among the lucky few whom I was able to give a card, the little girl was the most happy of all. She has a small nip tucked. She glided and jumped for joy upon reading her card. Her card said “You are so angelically beautiful”. She later told me that a boy in school had teased her a lot and she thought she was so ugly until she received my card. The girl’s positive feeling towards the card I made moved me and encouraged me to make this special greeting card often. Visit Paper Mill Direct to know more about paper.
