Tata's plan follows a recent announcement in Bangkok by Prakash Telang, the managing Vibram Five Fingers Kso for Indian operations, that more vehicle models would be added to the company's existing line-up in Thailand over the next three years. "Tata is ready to offer a variety of quality and competitive products here in addition to Vibram Five Fingers Speed Xenon one-ton pickup truck and Super Ace City Giant cab-over-engine one-ton pickup currently available in the Thai market," he said. In addition to heavy-duty trucks, Tata is also studying the feasibility of marketing buses and military vehicles locally. A senior executive with the local subsidiary Tata Motors (Thailand) confirmed introduction of the new models, with a tractor truck under Vibram Five Fingers Sprint Tata Daewoo brand being the first. A few tractor trucks will be imported from Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle, the company's wholly owned South Vibram Five Fingers TrekSport subsidiary, probably next month for testing by haulage companies.
