If you have ever been in love, then you know that you have eyes only for your beloved and become blind to everyone and everything else. You want to share together every ounce of your thoughts, time and energy. You are amazed that someone so wonderful and perfect in your eyes could find you so lovable despite your faults. You realize that you can't be without the other and want to be together for the rest of your lives. Life is suddenly happy and wonderful, and joy has filled you to overflowing. All your problems and issues have suddenly diminished or vanished. It is true. Love is the most powerful force in the world. Everyone has an innate urge to seek the one who will make you happy and satisfy your needs. God is the one who has put that desire in you. His desire is that you seek and find the One who is the ultimate fulfillment and lover of your soul. What happens so often soon after the honeymoon? The pressures of life are back, often with more intensity, and suddenly you get thoughts that your beloved may not always have your best interest at heart. You're not floating on air anymore; you've come down to earth with a thud! God is perfect love. The Father sent His only Son who willingly gave up his life so that you would be forever in His love. If you have acknowledged what He has done for you, then you remember that freeing, overflowing new life as He made His residence in you. What has happened since that wonderful day? He is still the same; there is no darkness in him. Could it be that you have taken the focus off His wonderful face and put it on the cares and pleasures of this world? Or have you been working so hard in your ministry and even loving others, that you're exhausted. Maybe now you don't feel that you are as lovable to him as before, and have withdrawn from his intimacy. The Father is the one who drew you to Him, and then Jesus presented you back to the Father - pure and spotless. All your flaws are wiped away, and there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. (Rom. 8:1) If you feel less than adequate and unworthy, and wonder why your prayers have not been answered, the Father is waiting for you with open arms. Just nestle into His bosom in the secret place. Love is all about intimacy; He will embrace you and make you feel again like royalty - which you are! There you can share with Him all your concerns, and He will answer you. The most important thing is that in that secret place of intimacy you will know without a doubt that He will answer your prayers. You may have stood in faith for something for a long time but, as you fall more and more in love with Him, then you know without a doubt that your Lover wants only the very best for you at all times. As the Bride of Christ, is it your most ardent desire to dwell in His house all the days of your life, to be enthralled by His beauty, and to share your innermost thoughts with Him? When you walk in that intimate love, you have the assurance of His protection no matter what comes your way. (Ps. 27: 4-5) --- Just when you think all hope is gone, the Lord comes through!
