A process of creating moving or still pictures by observing the radiations by the methods of capturing the live data and storing it on a sensitive medium such as electronic sensors or electromagnetic film can be referred to as photography.
In the storing material an electrical or chemical sensor is activated by the light patterns emitted and obtained in a photographic film. Through a highly sensitive remote camera lens this is usually done.
Functions of a camera
The image forming device is the camera. The recording medium is a photographic film or the electronic image sensors. Nowadays having electronic medium as the storing medium, digital cameras are also available.

Auto-focus point

Aperture

Focus

White balance

Shutter speed
Shutter speed is the controls over the speed of the shutter with which it opens and closes. In the speeds of milliseconds this is usually available. This is the time of which to the storing medium the light and the imaging medium are exposed.
Metering
Measurement of the amounts of the exposure of the light is metering. This is done manually so that according to the photographer's wish the shadow regions and bright light areas are captured.
