Counting is a simple process but at times you need some aids to help in the job. Even children use their fingers to help them in counting. When they grow up a bit, children use abacus for counting. Grown up people also use various types of devices to assist them in counting. You would have noticed a bank cashier counting bills on such a device. With this device he takes almost no time in counting, whereas manually it would have taken him a long time. There are meters in vehicles which keep a count of miles that it has traveled. It may appear surprising but even the scales meant for weighing items are also used for counting. These scales are called counting scales. Counting scales are of great use in factories and warehouses where on occasions a large number of smaller parts have to be counted. Counting them manually will take a long time and even them there would always be a possibility of an error. Counting scale takes a very short time and the possibility of error is nil. The whole lot of items to be counted is placed on the weighing platform of the scale. The weight of a single item which is weighed beforehand is also fed in the scale. The counting scale which is a digital scale weighs the items, divides the weight of the lot with the weight of the single item and shows the number so arrived at on a display. This is the number of items in the lot placed on the scale. If you go to market and check stores dealing in weighing scales you will find that there are various types of counting scales. You can look for them on internet as well. You will know there about additional features available in these scales. For example there are scales which can display the number at a remote place more convenient for your viewing. It can give a print out of the number of items and keep a record of it for reference. On internet you can select the scale that best meets your requirements.
