Making Fish Based Carp Fishing Baits And Protein Bait Secrets For Beginners!

Sports,Recreation & Leisure,Boating
It seems pretty obvious that if you want to catch a fish then attracting it with exactly what its senses most easily detect and what its body instinctively needs the most is the easiest way. There are many alternative ways to exploit fish within homemade fishing baits and ground baits to catch big carp, catfish, barbel and so others! So find out more about making fish based fishing baits right now and catch many more fish!

There is much evidence to suggest that people that only eat fish as opposed to people who are vegetarian or who eat red meat as part of the diet suffer far less from all kinds of the major diseases. As we are descended from ancient teleost fish part of which includes the carp family (Cyprindae fish) this is no surprise! Using fish is a great way to catch fish. Sometimes pike anglers catch carp of various sizes on whole dead fish baits intended for pike. I have seen for myself that carp are predatory too and will chase, hunt down and devour smaller fish in competitive tank conditions as well as in a lake.

I have banked carp even in double figures which coughed-up live fry and carp will eat frog spawn and tadpoles too. In many human cultures of the third world, the adults chew meat and then give this to their infants to eat. This weans them off milk and enables them to grow and develop at a much faster rate so becoming independent much faster. This provision of quality protein is a proven way that humans have be able to supersede the apes. It makes sense that your ability to conceive and reproduce is directly linked to food quality and provision especially of amino acids which are the building blocks of protein used for new growth!

Apes such as the mountain gorilla are only able to produce and most reliably successfully raise only 2 young over any set period of 8 years. In this case the female apes die not long after they have passed the peak age of conception and reproduction. But by contrast, humans live on much longer and you may be wondering why many women live into old age longer even than most men. It is to do with the provision of protein to the young which enables more off-spring to be produced even faster, so multiplying chances of the race surviving and thriving.

It is the provision of extra protein food from the more experienced grandmothers who are past the age of raising their own young that gives us a massive cumulative advantage over the apes. During our evolution it has been found that in an 8 year period due to the extra protein the provision from the grandmothers to the young, humans were able to successfully raise 3 off-spring. With the increased development of tools, farming, science, technology, health-care and nutritional advances and so on humans can have as many as 8 off-spring in 8 years or more as opposed to the apes 2. Just multiplying these up shows why humans number in the billions as opposed to the fact that the mountain gorilla is now an endangered species and is even now being illegally hunted ironically enough for its meat by local tribes people!

Protein is a large part of the key to the survival of fish and humans and life itself. Technically speaking I believe it was Carl Sagan who described how it was possible for life to be found on the planet Mars in the form of the simplest amino acids which in the right conditions could form living beings (beginning in the form of unicellular organisms such as the simplest bacteria.)

For all those of you who think that Earth is the centre of the universe and that we are alone in it and that no other intelligent life exists may be interested to know that life can exist given the right conditions wherever water exists. Even in our tiny solar system consisting of our 9 or possibly (10) planets it has been discovered that every planet has water available on the surface, under the surface or even in atmosphere and some of these planets had so much water in liquid form there was enough to cover the entire surface. (In the case of Mars, this water is found in incredible quantities under the surface in the form of ice!)

So now you can see the beginnings of life in relation to amino acids and basically how vital they are in fishing baits that catch more fish! I hope it now makes sense that amino acids are a seriously important fish attractor and signal of protein foods in water. In fact I focus on water because it is obvious fish live in water and are therefore evolved to detect substances issuing from their natural food items including amino acids, betaine, lipids, ammonia, various other amines, various nucleotides, monophosphates, many organic acids and others, polypeptides and so on.

Carp are fantastically sensitive to the many amino acids and not just to the 10 essential amino acids either. (Some of the non-essential and semi-essential amino acids are equally as stimulating in many ways when you know hat they are, what they are found in naturally high levels in and know in what combinations and levels to apply them in.)

All these and many more can be exploited more singly or in combination within our fishing baits to create very much more enhanced feeding responses and thus far more fish. But more than that, the fish which have the greatest energy requirement are the bigger fish of course and this means that protein based baits are inextricably linked to big fish success.

In the case of catfish and salmonids like trout and salmon, these fish have a higher metabolic rate when compared to carp and essentially need more lipid or oils within their diet. This in part explains the success of high oil salmon, trout and halibut pellets in regards to catfish.

But tragically also explains much of the fatty livers protruding from carp flanks caused from the bulk use of high oil pellets including all pellets which have been impregnated with oils meant for any species other than carp which inevitably means those with a higher metabolic rate. (Please note that specifically designed carp pellets are the only choice for any carp angler with a conscience who does not wish to condemn their big carp to eventually die from diseases directly caused by their choice of fishing bait!)

You can very easily make a homemade bait for very little cost by scalding the light brown form of cheaper higher cereal content and low oil content trout pellets. The very dark marine pellets you so often seen in tackle shops today are most often than not of high oil content. Based upon my knowledge of carp metabolic rates and the enzymic activity of carp in low temperatures it is simply irresponsible to use these in bulk for all your carp fishing all year round.

Remember that in applying them you are not alone; thousands of other anglers dump thousands of kilograms of these into carp lakes all year round and even apply them in winter.

(In winter such oils actually prevent digestion locking up digestible foods in the carp gut and starve them until that locked-up food has passed out of the fish!)

There are special ways of treating high oil pellets baits so they are changed so that the oils and even more of the proteins are broken down so improving their digestibility, carp suitability and catches performance.

But instead let us consider a very simple alternative option. Soft low oil trout pellet paste is a great beginner bait and has been a very well proven carp bait for decades. To make boilies, simply add whole egg powder or egg albumin and whey gel at around a 10 percent or more ratio dependant upon how soluble and resilient you want your baits. Of course there are very many other substances you can exploit to boost the stimulatory effects of your homemade baits and also improve the performance of your readymade baits in various ways, including appetite stimulators, palatants and enhancers, flavours and components and extra protein and sucrose based sweeteners, mineral and vitamin boosting substances and so on.

In fact all these and more will ensure you will not only be able to make your own very successful cheap homemade baits and hold your own against virtually all the expensive readymade baits, but it is a proven fact in my experience that you will be able to out-fish them!
