Two people were talking about the existence of God and each one was convinced that the other person was wrong. Both parties had valid arguments. I was listening to this argument and thinking to myself, I suspect both people are correct and this argument could be avoided if they had a better understanding of the Bible. I believe that these two people were destined for two different places. One person was destined for heaven and to be with God and the other person was destined for destruction where there is no God. So the person claiming “there is no God” was correct because for him there is no God and the other person claiming “there is a God” is also correct because when he’s dead he will be with God. The Bible says in Matthew 7:13-14, “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way that leads to life, and there are few who find it. The above verse is saying that a majority of the people here on earth are destined for destruction. That certainly explains why there are way more evil people here than good people. The Bible also explains why this is. that verse is found in John 3:19, “And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. The Bible teaches us that this world is currently ruled by Satan. Satan also has his demons and his people to enforce his will on this planet. There are many verses in the Bible testifying to this truth. In John 5:19, we read, “We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.” And also in Matthew 13:38, “The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one.” I’ll give you one more verse on this point and it is found in John 8:44, “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.” The next time you are talking to someone about God remember, we are currently here on this planet to learn the lessons of good and evil. If they are telling you that there is no God then sadly they are probably correct. If they belong to God they will naturally be drawn to God. If they belong to Satan your words will sound like someone running their fingernails down a chalkboard. We can find this truth in 1 Corinthians 1:18, “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” The Bible also warns us about talking to Satan’s people. We read this in Matthew 7:6, “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.” We as Christians need to heed the warning of not taking the “machine gun approach” when we witness our faith in other people. We need to remember that we are currently on Satan’s planet and that we are but a tiny minority. When I came to Christ, nobody lead me. I was led by God’s Holy Spirit. We can see this truth in the following verses. John 10:26, “But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you.” Also in John 10:27, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” These two verses are telling me that all of God’s children are going to come to God and the next verse tells me that God is not going to lose any of His children as explained in this next verse. John 6:39, “This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing but should raise it up at the last day.” And also in John 6:37, “All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.” Why did God create all these evil people when their destiny is destruction? If we go back to the beginning we can see that in order for us to learn the lessons of “good and evil” and to become more like God, then evil also has to exist. In the Garden of Eden, there were two trees, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and the tree of life. Guess which tree we, smart humans, decided to eat from? I believe the reason there is a campaign today to shut up and get rid of the Christians is that nobody wants to be reminded that what they are doing is wrong or evil. That would certainly spoil their “good time”. It’s impossible to relax and have a good time when someone is pointing out that what you are doing is evil and wrong. As Christians, when we get called bigots, racists, and every foul name in the book, we need to stop and really think about what is actually happening. We know that the sons of the wicked one are going to attack us because they believe the reason they can’t relax and have a good time is that we Christians made up all these bad laws to control people into doing what we want them to do. They believe that Christianity and God are nothing more than a fairytale for weak-minded people. They never stopped to consider that maybe God is real! They are sure to get an eye-opener very soon. So when these people verbally start attacking you, I want you to think of these next two verses and hopefully, this will make a big difference in how you think of your attackers. Luke 6:22-23, Blessed are you when men hate you, And when they exclude you, and revile you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake. Rejoice in that day and leap for joy! For indeed your reward is great in heaven, for in like manner their fathers did to the prophets. I know these people are not aware that they are actually depositing wealth into your heavenly account! I’ll finish with one last verse and it’s found in Romans 9:22, “What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction,”
