Housing is 22.6% higher in Vancouver than in Kuna and transportation is 30% higher in Vancouver. Compared to Boise, Idaho, living in Kuna is also more affordable. There's easy access to Nampa, Boise and Meridian, making it convenient to get around. Kuna is part of Ada County, but at the 2020 census had a population of just over 24,000. However, it is one of the fastest growing areas of Idaho nearly tripling its population from 2000 to 2010. Driving to Nampa is just over an 11 mile drive taking about 20 minutes. The trip to meridian is around 10 miles taking about 18 minutes and the trip to Boise is 19 miles taking about 27 minutes. Kuna has a small-town feel, but with all the amenities of a larger city. Kuna may be one of the fastest growing cities in Idaho, but it still manages to maintain its small-town feel. The people are friendly and welcoming with plenty going on for everyone who visits or lives here! But Kuna is still small enough to take in all those simple pleasures of life despite this community having seen an explosion in both residential and commercial properties. Yet even though they're busting at seams KUNA remains one place you can go where it feels like everyone knows each other by name. Things to do in Kuna, ID include trips to the Boise Art Museum, Discovery Center of Idaho, Boise Zoo and the Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial. Closer to home, there’s the Kuna Performing Arts Center, the Indian Creek Winery, the Syringa Winery, the Vizcaya Winery, and for country western fans, Cowgirls Kuna where you can drink and dance to one of Idaho’s best country venues. It's a great place to retire - there are plenty of senior-friendly activities. The Kuna Senior Center encourages Senior to be active mentally, physically and socially. You become a member of the Kuna Senior Association by completing a membership application. Activities include cards, pool, bingo musical performances and even field trips to other Senior Centers. Meals are available at the center on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, prepared by Metro Meals on Wheels at noon. Prices are as low as $4 for those over 60. Transportation is available to seniors over 60 or persons of any age with disabilities.
