Are you sick of this pandemic yet? Are you sick of hearing about the pandemic, because I certainly am sick of writing about it, and yet here we are, both of us in our houses, you hearing about it and me writing about it. This is shaping up to be a pretty garbage decade so far, isn’t it? Is it just me, or has the 21st century, for all of its technological achievements, been a disappointment from the very start? Well, during this pandemic, we’ve been offloading as much as we can, by way of aspects of daily life, to the Internet. We been trying to remote everything, be at school, business, commerce, social interaction, you name it. So it’s not a surprise that, and all honesty, people are trying to find ways to use the Internet to coordinate social sports as well. This is where being an online running coach comes into play. Yes, it is true, you can’t use the Internet to exercise or play sports, unless you count sports-based video games, but you very much can use it as a tool to coordinate people who could no longer get together in person. Admittedly, a lot of sports are built around that in-person, social friendship, but I, as an inherently antisocial person, never really got why that was so crucial. If you don’t need to physically be together, you simply don’t need to physically be together. So, let me, someone who is used to avoiding social situations as much as possible, illustrate you how a simple running club app, and some online running coach tactics, can help you maintain the sport you love during this time of isolation and inability to get together. How it works… Everyone runs on their own, basically. The advantages of this are that you no longer have to worry about scheduling people to be together, you no longer have to argue over venue, etc. It also means that you can bring people in from around the world, meaning you have a truly multicultural and multinational running club. All you really need is a simple running club app, something that allows you to track everyone’s runs, everyone’s fitness and even create virtual races based on their most recent runs. It’s a bonus of it also supports some sort of integration with social media, or better yet, a simple instant messaging system. Frankly, traditional social media is awful, so the latter is best. Along with this, all you need are smart phones, smart watches with biometric capabilities, and decent data plans. Make sure, as their running coach, that you choose a running club app that supports both phone systems, both iOS and android, because you will never get users of either to switch over, trust me. As a diehard android user, I cannot imagine using an iPhone, and my best friend, the iPhone user, refuses to even get on my phone for two seconds. With this technology, you can pursue the sport better than ever, and you frankly may never want to go back to the old way, aside from the occasional get together to celebrate, etc.
