The only way in doing this is by taking one issue at time. We must have some knowledge, some advanced plans that have certainly taken health and well-being aspects into a different direction over recent times. Sugar is one that attracts all the attention and for good reason; sugar is the culprit for countless health situations including obesity. It's easy to come to the wrong conclusion on things when you're only given incomplete information. Anything as important as when it comes to health, getting incomplete information and many contrary opinions is not a good direction to follow or to deal with any health issues you may have and trying to take control of. Not all sugars and sweeteners are the same! When sugar comes up in a conversation our thoughts go straight to that sugar-bowl on the table; this is the one we visually can see and mainly know about. The ones we don't see are the sugar substitutes, and they are the most dangerous ones. Refined sugars being in just about every type of food and drinks you can imagine. Such artificial sweeteners as Aspartame and Neotame are the most potent ones. Aspartame also known under the brand name Nutra Sweet is many times sweeter than normal sugar, and Neotame is 30 times sweeter than Aspartame. Based on findings from many scientific studies our average sugar intake is double of what is normal. Artificial sugars used in such a diverse range of foods create a sort of nutritional deficit in the body triggering cravings, which in turn leaves you wanting more of this damaging sweet stuff that causes weight gain, tooth decay and much more. The notion that sugar and artificial sweeteners causes or feeds cancer is a known fact, but many do not believe it, or are totally unaware of it. Some of the most powerful cancer evolution of the last fifty years is not found in a pharmacy or even the cancer ward. Instead it will be found in your diet, what to eat and what not to eat will cure illness and cancer. Besides processed foods and soft drinks with all the hidden artificial sugars is one of the big issues by itself. There are many reasons to give up soft drinks for the benefit of your health. Soft drinks are full of sugars, some cans contain up to ten teaspoons of harmful artificial sweeteners. Soft drinks have no nutritional goodness. They contain chemical additives which makes a certain amount phosphoric and citric acid. Excessive consumption will cause tooth decay and as well erodes tooth enamel. Phosphoric acid has also been associated with heart and kidney problems, muscle loss and osteoporosis. Here is a short example of the amount of sugar you consume if you drink only one can 600 ml soft drink per day for one year: 24.528g. The alternatives in sweeteners! There are the "free" sugars: Monosaccharide's and disaccharides that are as well added to some foods. These sugars are naturally present in honey, syrups, fruit juices, fruit concentrate, also in fruits and vegetables. Honey is a good substitute as a sweetener such as in tea, coffee etc. Once you acquire the taste of honey you would never like the taste of sugar again. Other safe natural sweeteners such as Erythritol are calorie free. They taste like normal sugar, don't affect your blood-sugar or insulin levels and are plant-derived natural sweeteners. There are many other options as in alternative sweeteners. For a little snack between meals you may enjoy some chocolate; it has been known for some time that dark chocolate has many health benefits.
