Best Bars in Courchevel Moriond (1650) - An Insider's Guide

Travel & Tourism
The hard part of travelling is over – you’ve decided where you want to go. Courchevel Moriond (1650) is a fantastic choice for this season’s winter activities. There is skiing for beginners, intermediates and experts with over 150 kilometres of pistes. But a winter holiday is never complete unless you have a variety of restaurants, bars and nightlife to experience. You’re in luck with the atmospheric Courchevel Moriond – this area has plenty of spots to explore in the charming village. Le Cabane

One of the most important things about travelling is to experience the culture. At Le Cabane, French is in fashion with indoor smoking and a chance to test your language skills. The bar serves reasonably priced wine, beer, pizza and even oysters. This tiny and cosy log shed has been transformed into a welcoming and relaxing place to wind down after an exhilarating day of skiing. Le Schuss

Another cultural bar is Le Schuss. While the drinks are slightly more expensive, it’s another opportunity to experience the French lifestyle. This bar is intimate and perfect for some après-ski drinks and a cheese platter. Le Bubble Bar

Now for something a little livelier: Le Bubble Bar. With live music, happy hours, and free pool tables, what could go wrong? This is a popular place for young travellers and workers as the music gets louder and the beers taps start flowing. Funky Fox

Every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, Funky Fox hosts a party sometimes featuring the incredible band Bubble and Crisp who play fresh electronic beats to start the dancing. Before the music begins, enjoy burgers or sharing platters as you relax and warm up after a cold day in the snow. The Fire and Ice Bar

If you’ve finished skiing for the day but don’t want to leave the slopes just yet, then head to the Fire and Ice Bar. Situated at the bottom of the piste, you can wrap up in a cosy blanket and indulge in pizza at the large fire pits. Beers and shots in glasses made of ice start at only €4. La Boulotte

This small and friendly place offers great lunch and coffee if you’ve finished skiing earlier. After you’ve been welcomed to La Boulotte by the establishment’s pet dog, Cubbie, enjoy home-cooked meals and drinks in this ambient and rustic setting. How to Get There

With British Airways, easyJet or Swiss, the flight is only an hour and a half and costs between £60 and £90 from London to Geneva Airport. From the airport, transfers via Shuttle Direct can bring you safely to Courchevel Moriond (1650) in about two hours. Transfers with Shuttle Direct can be booked online before you embark on your journey; you have the option of a private, shared or group transfer. If you’re travelling with skis, don’t forget to make that clear when booking.

About Shuttle Direct

Need transport for your next ski holiday? Shuttle Direct can get you there! As the largest provider of transfer services in Europe, Shuttle Direct serves all the airports that have access to the Alpine skiing hotspots. Make your reservation online and you’re guaranteed a quick and easy way to get from the arrivals terminal to the snowy slopes.

Lukas Johannes is a driver for Shuttle Direct, the number one provider of shared and private airport transfers all over Europe and northern Africa. If you’re looking for affordable Geneva Airport ski transfers, Lukas and his colleagues can make sure that you and your luggage get to and from the airport swiftly and safely.
