Deciding on a summer holiday destination for the family can be incredibly difficult. These are my six recommendations for things to do in Lanzarote when travelling with kids. 1. Rancho Texas Rancho Texas is a thrilling amusement park in Puerto Del Carmen which boasts dozens of exciting child-friendly rides and activities, all of which are Wild West themed. It also happens to be the largest zoo on the island, with a wide array of beautiful animals. There are regular animal shows throughout the day, including birds of prey shows and crocodile shows. Submarine Safaris Explore the magical world beneath the ocean’s surface with an amazing submarine adventure. Timanfaya National Park The main tourist attraction; Timanfaya National Park is great fun for all ages and provides astonishing views of the famous “Fire Mountains”. This is a “Martian” landscape created by large-scale volcanic activity around 300 years ago. I have been told that Camel safaris are an entertaining and memorable way to explore the area. 6. Aqua Park Costa Teguise An exciting day awaits at Aqua Park Costa Teguise, which is home to dozens of exhilarating water rides with many suitable for all young kids, older children and adults. Not just this, but there are also adventure parks, electric cars, paintball, Jacuzzis and many other activaties to keep you and the tribe amused all day long.
