The city of Goodyear offers a wide range of yearly events and activities for its senior adults and Pebble Creek Golf Community is in the heart of all the action. The Goodyear Adult Program (GAP) is the city’s primary organizer for adult activities, trips, and games. Mark your calendars for these local favorites. Local Trips GAP offers several trips throughout the year to local attractions, museums, theaters, and festivals. Trips are color coded for your convenience according to the amount of physical activity involved in each particular event. For example, green events are leisurely and involve minimal physical exertion, some walking, and possibly a few stairs. By contrast, red activities are usually very demanding and may involve long periods of standing, high altitudes, and lots of walking. This summer, GAP will be visiting the Music Instrument Museum in Phoenix as well as viewing West Side Story at the Hale Theatre in Gilbert. Concert Series Don’t miss the Spring and Fall concert series held every year at the Goodyear Community Park. These events are free to the public so bring the kids and grandkids as well for an evening of music and festivities. In previous years, the concert has featured The 8 Tracks, Rare Collection, and Faded Jeans playing all your oldies, jazz, and classic rock favorites. This fall, concerts start at 7pm and run through October and November. Movie Night Bring the grandkids to the Goodyear Ballpark for Movie Night! Admission is free and concessions are open for snack and drink purchases. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket and enjoy a free showing of family favorites like Inside Out, The Good Dinosaur, and Zootopia. Check the ballpark website for show times and dates. There is always something going on in the Goodyear area. The Pebble Creek Golf Community is the place to be for the active adult lifestyle.
