If you’re asking about what these directional signs are, they are utilized along the street highways to guide people to houses that are for sale or events similar to that. They are typically called as bootleg displays as they are being considered as illegal. Just a bit of a background, the term is derived from the Prohibition Era of America’s history during the times when bootlegged liquors were illegally marketed in the United States.
And so, these are illegal signage displays, but the term these days are more in relation to the genre of a signage without taking in consideration whether it is illegal or not.
