According to the population census, more than 80% of the country's population is identified as Orthodox Christians belonging to the Romanian Orthodox Church. Other denominations include Roman Catholicism accounting for nearly 5%, Protestantism more than 5%, and Greek Catholicism of about 1%. Tourist attractions in Romania Bucharest is the first attraction on tours to Romania. Also, it is dubbed as "Paris of the Balkans".
