Samsung announced the S7 and S7 Edge to be released the Spring of 2016. The announcement was timed to perfection - the day before the Mobile World Congress held annually in Spain. They are the most exciting things to happen in the mobile world so far this year. Last years' model, the Galaxy S6 won the award for Best Smartphone category. All of the capabilities of this phone are truly amazing. From creating playlists, to monitoring your work outs. You can access the phone using fingerprint or facial detection. And there's so much you can do with this phone, but you have to know all the things you can do. The G7 Edge has a slightly larger screen due to its round edge. This display area is 5.5". The Galaxy S7 has an ample 5.1" display area. Your use of your phone will decide which type is more important. The slightly larger viewing area is not extremely significant unless your work is graphic driven and everything mm of space counts. Pictures and Videos For those into graphics, the enhanced camera can let you focus from various objects in a photo. Using the auto focus is a very cool feature. Also, the video capabilities are amazing. You can adjust the lighting for better video quality. There is an advanced sensor in the phone and the smartphone includes dual-pixel technology. Battery Life Your battery life is extended with the Always On feature. This feature allows you to save energy by not needing to turn your phone on to find basic information like date and time, messages, missed calls. It's an energy saving feature in addition the large battery. Of course, battery life depends on factors like usage, storage so you will still need to assess your usage. Another great feature is you can charge you phone wirelessly. Monitors and Sensors The Galaxy S7 features improved monitors. Your fingerprint or facial scan can lock or unlock the phone. Monitor workouts by assessing your heart rate. You can also sync the S7 with Gear VR and monitor your entire workout assessing progress and goals to reach. That price may go up or down as the year progresses or new features get added on. Overall, Samsung put the "smart" in the phone with this phone. It's legacy is a winner and there's no reason to think this version will be any different.
