Marketing Manager Marketing managers are a great option for those who love working with people and promoting products. IT Manager An IT manager is another well respected position that is growing intensely because of the need for web and software professionals. An IT manager will generally work with computers to oversee the functioning of software, intranets, and other hardware. On average, they earn a salary of $132,570, and don’t require more than a bachelor’s degree. Most IT managers work their way up through a company and can earn a great living. Lawyer Law is another great option for a handsomely paid position, and is a unique job because of the wide variety of industries you can work in. The pay varies widely, depending on whether you work with a firm and what type of firm you work in. Though attorneys do go to school for almost 3 years, they earn a median salary of around $114,300. Generally, attorneys will work in a court of law and act as advisors and advocates by arguing for their parties’ innocence or guilt. They also deal in titles, litigation, wills, and other writing contracts. Sales Manager Sales is a typically hated profession, but a sales manager has a much different job than cold calling and selling to customers. Sales managers deal with the larger picture, analyzing what the trends are in their specific field, setting goals for the members of their teams and discovering strategies to make more effective sales. For this type of position, sales managers can earn an average salary of $108,540, a great living for a position that is hiring abundantly. Investment Manager An investment manager in San Diego works in finance and makes investments on behalf of clients according to the client’s wishes. They typically will invest in securities and will charge based on the percentage of assets that they are managing. These managers will make around $100,887 a year or more, depending on whether they work for themselves, or for a larger investment bank. Day to day, these managers buy and sell securities, monitor portfolios, and settle transactions.
