If there are , your next course of action is to see if any of the tubes leads to an access point where the termites could have entered your home. If you find no termites in the tunnels, but they appear to lead to an access point, it is possible that the termites have already entered your home. Another sign of termite activity is termite swarmers. Termite swarmers are adult termites that have grown wings and leave the inside of your home in an effort to expand their territory. If you notice swarmers flying around the exterior of your home, you should call a termite inspector for further evaluation. The amount of time the swarmers spend flying around outside your home is relatively small, so you may not physically see them; however, you can look for evidence that they have been there. You can use your magnifying glass to look for their shredded wings around your home. If you find some insect wings, pick a few up and research what they may be or consult with a professional.
