Online reputation is the final consumer confidence indicator on whether or not someone is going to purchase a product or service from you. You can have the best salesmen in the world but if your price point is above $2500 the chances are people are going to do research about you. If you have any blemishes or bad reviews about you or your products, the sale becomes infinitely harder. People want confidence that they are not being ripped off or scammed, there are too many other options available to consumers to have to feel like maybe this isn’t what they are looking for. Google keyword planner allows us to examine the amount of people searching, "GoPro Reviews" or "GoPro Ratings" to see how many people are viewing review websites that talk about the reviews or ratings. It’s very easy to track how many impressions these review sites are getting from the searches and the amount of people possible being deterred by the bad reviews. According to a survey done by Harvard Professor Michael Luca, a single star increase can cause an increase in annual review from 10%-18%. That’s tremendous given how much that means for many business’s relative to how easy it is to improve any given Online Reputation Review site.
