Ebola has gotten a lot of attention over the last few months. In fact it was one of the highest searched terms in 2014. I wasn’t aware it was still a big concern until I was given a card to fill out on an international flight recently so I thought I might look into what you can do if you’ve come into contact with this deadly virus. Here’s what I found. What is Ebola? Ebola is a virus with flu-like symptoms that remains dormant until it springs into action, potentially killing the carrier and spreading to others. Most people are concerned that ebola can be transmitted by coughing or sneezing but experts are certain it can only be spread via direct contact with blood or bodily fluids. A lot of people are still worried and understandably so. This disease has killed over 8,500 people in West Africa alone and infected more than 21,000 worldwide so far. The Current Treatment Options A huge concern is the lack of effective treatment options available. The current treatment for ebola is using a vaccine to fight the virus. The first step of treatment is quarantine those exhibiting symptoms of the disease, which can occur anywhere from 2 to 21 days after initial exposure. Unless treated, the patient will develop a high fever combined with headache, vomiting, diarrhoea and hemorrhagic sores. The loss of appetite combined with the more severe symptoms weakens the patient until their body can’t survive any longer, the illness eating them away from within. Ozone Treatment for Ebola Dr Robert Rowen who is a leading expert on ozone therapy may have the answer we’re looking for and the best part is, it’s natural. But first, what is ozone? While most oxygen in the air is O2, ozone is O3. It’s the most powerful natural oxidant in the world and disinfects 10 times faster than chlorine. Ozone works within the body, slowing the virus’s ability to reproduce and allowing the person’s natural immune response to fill in the gap. Because ozone is naturally toxic to viruses including ebola, it works directly to fight the infection. The treatment, though specialised, requires no pharmacological intervention and helps create supercharged white blood cells which in turn can battle the virus. Oxidation therapy was actually discovered during the great influenza outbreak of 1918. A physician in India named Dr Oliver was treating viral influenza, which still has no treatment to this day, and when he administered intravenous hydrogen peroxide, he cut the death rate by 50 percent. What was most remarkable was this success rate was achieved when he treated the worst cases of the disease.¹ According to Dr Rowen, ozone therapy is also beneficial for heart disease, immune diseases, injuries and chronic degenerative diseases such as osteoarthritis. The application of ozone therapy shows promising results for cancer too. Dr. Rowen states that although it’s not a magic bullet, it has successfully reversed some cases of cancer, including metastatic cancer. With so much fear, people hope for a solution to rescue people from ebola. Ozone therapy can address some of the concerns, help those receiving traditional treatment and possibly provide a boost to those in the greatest geographical risk. People in the highest risk need help immediately and ozone therapy could just be the perfect solution for them. For more natural health tips visit our blog at: http://www.alkalife.com.au/blog
