Killed ... mum-to-be Eystna Blunnie, 20 (SWNS) Scene ... pals leave flowers A PREGNANT girl was battered to death and her unborn daughter killed — just three days before the baby was due to be born. College student Eystna Blunnie, 20, was found with multiple head injuries on a busy road at 3am. Heavily-pregnant Eystna was rushed to hospital on Wednesday morning but was later pronounced dead. Essex Police were last night questioning her ex-boyfriend Tony McLernon, 23, on suspicion of murder and over the death of the unborn child. Officers — who described the incident as a suspected domestic-related killing — were also searching his family home. Eystna’s devastated parents Kevin and Susan last night said in a statement: “Our daughter and granddaughter have been taken from us in such a tragic and horrific way. We can’t begin to explain how we feel.” Eystna, from Harlow, Essex, had recently posted on Facebook an ultrasound picture of her unborn daughter — whom she had named Mia Rose. Family friend Sally Bugg, 57, said: “She was so looking forward to being a mum. She would cuddle her bump and smile.” Close pal Chloe Hickman, 20, said: “It’s a terrible and wicked thing to happen to such a lovely, bubbly girl.” Flowers were left by friends at the scene of the killing. Pals said Eystna and Tony had a “rocky” relationship. One said: “She had been seeing Tony on and off for a long time.
