The US military required a rifle scope that was exceptionally fast and applicable to a wide range of targets at various distances. Nightforce F1 3.5-15x50 came as valuable utility for them. A first focal plane reticle remain the same visual proportion to the target across the scope’s entire magnification range which makes it especially appropriate for range finding and trajectory compensation at all magnification with no extra calculations. Nightforce tubes are made from solid bar, aircraft grade aluminium alloy, not extruded. These are twice thicker than other riflescopes. This is for less overall stress, greater thermal stability, a consistent zero and a virtually impervious shield for the precision optics remaining within.Nightforce zero stop adjustments are standard on the NXS F1 and in addition a set of Nightforce Ultralight Rings are also included chosen from .1MRAD or,.250 MOA turrets. Other reticle offerings are NP RF1, MLR2, MD2, LV5, H58 etc. If it can be fitted to a PVS22 or, PVS40 night site to this day scope, the vision is simply unstoppable. There are recoil and impact tests too conducted at 1250Gs (Positive & negative) with tracking accuracy and resolution integrity maintained before and after. There are almost 70-130 tests and checks conducted on the riflescopes before being handed over to the clients.
