The death toll has reached 711, according to Reuters reports. Firemen rescued 26 people in the most-hit Concepcion city from the rubble of a collapsed building on Sunday. They also recovered six bodies from the 14-storey building and said that between 60 and 80 people were still trapped under the rubble. Chilean President Michelle Bachelet announced on Sunday a "state of catastrophe" for Maule and Bio Bio, the two most severely hit regions. Two million people have been affected in the two areas.
