Being modeled on the English cities like the Oxford and the Cambridge, Christchurch is one city of senses and a city for those who would love to eat, drink and explore. Gateway to New Zealand’s South Island, Christchurch may not be a fancy city but surely a city that is full of natural visit and a city that you must visit once. Talking about nature the Hagley Park and the Botanic Gardens are the perfect examples why this city is very much highlighted when it comes to greenery and exotic natural beauty. Hagley Park being the center of this Garden city is perfect for a quite stroll or biking along. Willowbank Wildlife Reserve is the best place to spot the country's native bird, Kiwi and the best place to explore the Maori cultural performances and their traditional cuisine cooked underground. Getting around the city is bit a fight as the bus system eats up too much of your time so it's best to hire a car in Christchurch. There are plenty of spots for eateries and shopping that may not be on a scale of other cosmopolitan cities of the world but surely give you enough opportunity to have the time of your lives. Why not book a cheap flight to Christchurch this vacation and see a city which is different and contrasting but a great way to spend your vacation!
