Electronic cigarettes are a relatively new invention. People have been smoking tobacco – in one form or another – for centuries while e-cigarettes have only gained prominence in the last year or so. There are any number of reasons why the uptake on electronic cigarettes is slow. All things taken consideration, the first electronic cigarette has been purchased. The big question is, what a person should know about the post purchase experience. Electronic Gadgets The first thing to know about an electronic cigarette is to think of it as an electronic gadget. The closest comparison to an electronic cigarette would be a personal mp3 player. Or a smartphone or even a wrist watch. Just like an mp3 player or a wristwatch, the electric cigarette would accompany the person wherever he or she goes. Which means, all things that apply to these personal accessories apply to the cigarette as well. The cigarette has to be handled carefully. It needs to be kept safely in its own pocket. It should be well maintained, with regular servicing and it should handle by one person only. For instance, giving the cigarette to another person is simply not an option. No one would let their expensive, and essential item such as a wrist watch to their friend or even a family member. It does not work that way. Battery Powered Another thing about electronic cigarettes, is that, they are powered by a battery. As with smartphones or mp3 players, these cigarettes come with rechargeable batteries. Not only that, they are also removable batteries. That means, it is important to keep an eye out on the battery level of the cigarette. The battery is designed to last long durations of usage, like a week for moderate usage. If the owner of the e-cigarettes is a heavy user, then the person should carry the charger with them at all times. When travelling, it is not enough, just carrying the charger that goes with the ecig. It may also be handy to carry an extra battery. It is not always possible to find a charging outlet when travelling outside the city or even on vacation. In such circumstances, an extra battery becomes the most useful accessory that you are going to carry with you. There are times when a person really has to smoke and it would be hazardous if they find out that, they have the electric cigarette with them, but it has run out of charge. That would be the worst possible scenario to be in. Expert Tip Experienced electronic cigarette smokers have one more suggestion to make about this. If carrying the charger and an additional battery pack sounds like a drag, it is simpler to just use disposable cigarettes. The true marvel of technology, in the field of ecig, is the development of disposable cigarettes. These cigarettes are just like their regularly charged counterparts. They are designed to be light, easy to use and of course, once the deed is done, disposable. Carrying a pack of disposable cigarettes is always a wise decision, in the event, the regular cigarette should run out of juice.
