IPAF Operator categories are broken down in to five classifications, with cherry picker training classed under the 3b Mobile Boom classification. Each classification takes around half a day to complete, depending on your experience. To successfully pass this course you will be required to complete a theory and practical test to demonstrate your knowledge and competence of using powered access. Once you have completed this course you will receive a Powered Access License (PAL) which is valid for five years.
