There may be thousands of idols that transfix the imagination of modern man, but three of them are now rising to the surface around the globe. They have all, but replaced religious convictions and their universality is appealing to almost everyone. What are they? Feelings; The idol of flesh “How can it be wrong if it feels so right?” The idiom of the lost generation. The argument against Darwinism notwithstanding, the clear product of the evolutionary model is that it allows and encourages the fulfillment of one of scriptures strongest last day’s warnings. It is prophetic prediction in action at the dawn of the 21st century. In his treatment of the last day’s emergence of homosexuality and other perversions, the Apostle Paul declared that feelings would become the reason man would end up worshipping himself. Oddly, while true Biblical Christianity requires a change, a transformation and a new beginning, so does the move into the idol worship of the last days. The world and the individuals who make flesh an idol must accept this change. Darwinism is so convenient for them; it is almost an answer to prayer – or the lack of it! “Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever.” (Ro 1: 25) The idea that strong feelings are what synthesize a real bond or marriage is prevalent throughout the PC strata’s of modern society and only recently was exemplified in the State of New Jersey, which legalized gay marriage. Even animals have strong feelings, but they are not perverted. Of the ten species of birds that mate for life none of them mate with the same sex. Funny how nature can’t be perverted, but those supposedly highest on the evolutionary chain are so easily led astray. The Dodo bird is not a species that mates for life, but we can assume it doesn’t seek mating partners of the same sex. Are we smarter than the Dodo? When Newark Mayor and Senator-elect Cory Booker married several same sex couples on the stairs in City Hall, after one person was thrown out of the ceremony for declaring that “This is unlawful in the eyes of God and Jesus Christ,” one of the couples remarked “The ceremony crystallized the feelings she has felt for her partner for the past three years.” Feelings can neither crystallize nor sanctify inordinate affections according to scripture. It is God who joins and sanctifies marriage unions and he is not inconsistent, as are we. He calls for marriage between one man and one woman and will not be changing his mind before he returns to judge a world gone perv. That love is often misdirected, dangerously obsessive and outright perverted should be proof enough that love alone cannot sanctify any union, it takes the sanctification of God. If his sanctification is required then it is also his rules that decide if it is the real thing. In fact, inordinate affections or misplaced and misguided love is what precipitates the judgments of God against our entire world. To wit: “Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience.” (Col 3: 5, 6) The commandments of God and his moral laws are thought to buck modern man’s pursuit of true love and perhaps life itself. In fact, God’s commandments produce life, but in a perverted world that maxim is rejected for the temporary fulfillment of the lusts of the flesh. It is the idol of the day and it is worshipped with full adherence and adoration, but it is a lie. One man seeking the path to eternal life asked what he must do to assure his future in the presence of God. Jesus answered him in no uncertain terms. “…if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.” (Mt 19: 17b) Intellectualism – The Idol Built by Mixing Knowledge and Pride Knocking Christians for being ‘anti-science’ is the latest rage among Darwinists and atheists. Recently University of Southern California professor Craig Stanford said Ray Comfort’s video ‘Evolution vs. God’ was biblical porn. Prof. Craig Stanford said no one would be influenced by the video, but nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, it has already been viewed and purchased by a quarter of a million people and Comfort’s next offering is set to be a blockbuster. Stanford contends that believers and creationists are becoming increasingly marginalized, that also is wishful thinking. Converts to Christianity are on the rise around the world. Stanford like all Darwinists doesn’t recognize that Christians have a heritage of martyrs, those whose blood was shed to stand for the faith. Darwinists haven’t lost a soul yet, but in the day of Christ’s appearing there won’t be a single Darwinist left on the globe. Looking at the sign of the Son of man in the eastern skies will be the instant cure for Darwinism. “And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” (Mt 24: 30) Most Christians are not against science at all, but rather they are advocates of all legitimate scientific inquiry that serves to elevate the health, safety and benefit of mankind. Some Christians are also scientists, so where does this notion come from, why do scientists feel compelled to bad mouth believers? Stanford’s claim that Ray Comfort was one sided and dishonest is lost in a greater question that yet looms over Darwinian world indoctrination. Those thought to be stuck in the world of mistaken mythology and religious nonsense are waiting with baited breath for the evidence so conspicuously missing from evolutionary hype, namely, the missing links. They tried with Ida and lobbed Lucy at the world as proof, but both are now no more than daydreams in the annals of wishful thinking. Transitional forms of life from the idea of inter species evolution remain missing to the eyes of an entire world that somehow finds cause to call Christians stupid for believing in the Creator. This too is last day’s perversion. Christians are the purveyors of revelation and they don’t pit reason against what God has shown to the world, they combine reason and revelation and thus the science of Christian apologetics is offered as a better alternative to Darwinian indoctrination. To the believer there is no doubt God gave us a brain to be used to its maximum. To us, science is the tool used to discover the secrets of God’s creation, not an excuse to dismiss him from the equation. Science is good stuff, but like all of man’s pursuits it is met with the sin nature of man and is almost instantly corrupted. It is appealing to man’s pride to declare what has been discovered about the creation, but it is abhorrent to admit that it was created, not simply discovered. Man can take no credit for creation, but is fully willing to give credit to time, chance and wishful thinking. Is that intellectual? The ‘everything from nothing’ crowd is perfectly willing to replace the princess who kissed the frog with a few billion years of time to produce the handsome prince. Both are entertaining fairy tales but neither has any preponderance of legitimate evidence. Once again the biblical record disagrees with modernity’s conclusions. Not only is Darwinism a satanic tool to dismiss accountability to God in the last days, but all of man’s technology will not lift him out of the coming judgment. If the mark of the beast and universal identification and tracking are any clue, technology will bring the world to the final judgment in great haste. Sadly, it is the Apostle Paul who declared that men would always be learning but never quite able to cross the finish line because of human pride. Paul said they would be, “Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (2 Tim 3: 7) Social Acceptance - The Idol Built by Political Correctness, Tolerance and Diversity LLC Rome wasn’t built in a day – how long does it take to build a sweeping secular worldview for an entire generation? Prophecy is an aspect of the bible that transcends time. It doesn’t care about the ancient world and it sees right through the modern world. It is pre-written history with the highest purpose of anything in the bible - except the gospel itself. It is prophecy that contends that man will waltz up to the last generation with a head full of notions about their own social and civilizational advancements in every area and discipline including social science. They will try to live in peace and harmony, but the effort is predicted to fail because they leave God out of their society, they may allow some religions but a Savior is out of the question. They will force PC and tolerance on everyone, but it hasn’t got a chance. The prophet Daniel said, “…they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.” (Da 2: 43) The force used to put everyone under the same rule comes from the idea that a consensus, a majority or a complete confluence of ideas, is the proof and the precedent by which to enforce all acceptable PC behavioral patterns and ideas. They all agree this is the way to go. The wisest of the wise says – not so! The Wisdom of Solomon as seen in the book of Proverbs exclaims that men are readily fooled by their own efforts at collective behavioral adjustments based on pop-culture standards of morality. To wit: “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” (Pr 16: 25) Looking for consensus of evil ideas among evil men is the greatest dead end spoken of in the entire bible. It is forbidden and will leave the adherents of such nonsense completely culpable and totally vulnerable in the last days. It is ancient, it is modern and it is final. “Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment.” (Ex 23: 2) The more popular or PC your belief is in modern ideas of morality the greater danger you are in of being found in error and open to scrutiny. Check it now, if your morality comes from today’s push for peer equality and universal social acceptance you are probably completely out of the will and purpose of God. The Coming Great High Priest of Man’s Self-Indulgent Idolatry – Alive today? Prophecy teachers and students alike are in a general acceptance about the person known as the antichrist. He will be the final ruler over the earth just before the second coming of Christ and the fulfillment of all the portents and events found in the book of Revelation. One item that most of them agree upon is that he is alive today; in fact since almost all of the last day’s signs are now converging, if he was not alive, he would be late. This megalomaniacal, political military and economics genius will be the embodiment of all man’s highest but Godless aspirations. He will fully concur with all three great idols of the last days, but there is one single and profound difference between him and all other rulers like him throughout history. He will rise to power on the wings of full acceptance but during the middle of his entire reign of seven years he will cast off the garments of the high priest of modern idols and present himself as God Almighty. Think the world will never accept that? Think again – he will be lauded and worshipped by billions, even those who thought all religions should be banned and actively brought down. He will institute an economic system that will cover the world, mandatory, without exception and deadly! To wit: “And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb.” (Rev 14: 9, 10) This is the high priest of today’s world, too big for his britches, too deadly for words. But not too late to be warned about, while the day is at hand.
