I'm the judgment expert who writes often. Everyone in the judgment field has often received lots of phone calls which appear to be wasting their time. Often, after first carefully listening and explaining the situation to a judgment creditor, a judgment expert may think a sale has been made. However, the truth is lots of folks blab at length about their judgments with lots of folks, before maybe someday choosing a professional to try to buy or recover their judgment. The silly questions people ask can be occasionally amazing, for example: "What is your telephone number?" (The one they had dialed.) What is your email address, is it that one I see the website? Is it spelled exactly the same? Do I have to call you when I want to I send you an e-mail? Is the fax machine number the same as I saw the website? Is your address that one on the web site? We were answering yes over the years, however these kind of folks did not ever sent their judgments. Recently, we reached a decision to stop taking incoming live telephone calls from the unwashed public. Some judgment-related experts have learned not to put any phone numbers on their websites, or to put fake phone numbers on judgment enforcement list organization member web sites. Some judgment owners don't understand that judgment recovery is not quick, and some of them make calls to judgment enforcers way too much. At our company, most of the calls we get now come from those that just waste our time, sales people, frauds, unreasonable people, telemarketers, professional shoppers, etc. Even when a telephone call comes from a real judgment creditor, most fall into these 3 categories: 1) "I was on your web site and..." The problem is that person did not read that front page of the web site. These kind of folks just look quickly for a telephone number, and want you to explain everything several times in complete detail; what the creditor could have read themselves, if they spent 30 seconds looking at your site. 2) Dedicated judgment shoppers that hold onto the past, ignoring reality and letting wishful thinking stop them from choosing a solution. When the judgment expert listens carefully and then explains their rates; the creditor says thank you, and that they will send a copy of the judgment and debtor information right away, and then hang up. Then, they call a hundred other judgment companies, hoping to find a different answer from the truth, which is that it all depends on your debtor. 3) "I want to tell you the complete story about that fraud who burned me". Such callers usually want to talk about their own ongoing problems, and the full version of the complete story; not able to take any action or come to a point. Some only want to talk, with their speech prepared they've explained to 50 judgment experts, and then blab that same story to you. For several months, we asked folks whether they've got a computer, and if they have seen our web site, and are they going to send us their judgment? When the creditor has a computer however told us no, they won't visit our website, again and will not be sending their judgment; we just told them sorry, we can't help, and hung up. Recently, this issue has become so severe, we decided to disconnect our incoming Skype telephone (line by simply quitting the Skype application). We get emailed after people call, when the caller left a voice mail. This decision was reached after a few long years of wasting time listening to angry ex-spouses, long story tellers, people that lie, rude folks, people arguing with us and/or reality, or not listening to us. After we get a voicemail notification email coming from Skype's server, we search for that number on Bing and be sure to and check the caller is a scammer or a telemarketer. If so, we do not even open Skype. If the internet search doesn't show anything bad, we start up the Skype program to listen to their voicemail. When the caller didn't leave an intelligent message (some of them just sigh, curse, or groan), we don't call them back. Our company uses Skype because of its unlimited blocking ability, and when extra mean and/or stupid folks call us, we simply hang up and block the telephone number. Some of the blocked callers keep attempting to call us again several times a day for weeks. We decided to no longer return calls to clearly clueless judgment owners, even after they leave us a voice mail. For example, some say they "saw our website, and asked us to call them back to talk about their $900 judgment; andshould we were interested, we better call them back immediately". We no longer call these kind of people back, as our web site is clear as a bell. It tells people to start with the first step, and there's not any reason to call us when they can't understand and follow the first step. We have learned that most of the time, dumber folks call us, and smarter folks send emails and/or a copy of their judgment.
