Do you want to be a dentist and aim to thrive in your career, but don’t know how? The answer is simple organizations like CDA or California Dental Association present you with the needed support in all stages of your career and make your journey to be a successful dentist smooth and hassle free. CDA is a community of dentists committed to enhance the professional lives of its members. They offer their members a unique set of resources including but not limited to education, practice support, advocacy and protection. They aim to provide better oral health care for all the citizens of California. California Dental Association was founded a small group of dentists in 1870. It is a non-profit organization representing dentists in California. In past 150 years they have grown as the single largest membership in the American Dental Association. This community helps various dentists and dental hospitals by providing them needed help including the funds to help them improve their services and offer the citizens of California ace quality services and perfect oral health. They also provide student loan grant to help dental students in their career. These grants are extremely beneficial for students who want to be a dentist but due to their financial restriction can’t afford to get the high quality education. If you join California Dental Association then you automatically enjoy membership and services to three dental organizations including: your local dental society, state dental society and the American Dental Association. It is a tripartite membership and its each level offers helpful benefits and resources. These include education, support, protection and advocacy. This is the reason why 25, 000 memberships get renewed every year. They also hold biannual convention and present The Art and Science of Dentistry in Anaheim and San Francisco every year. They offer lecturers, technical demonstrations and the meetings are considered as some of the largest dental conventions in country and largest on the West Coast. California Dental Association also offers the opportunity for dental professionals to fulfill continuing education requirements. They also present you with variety of courses to help you in your career growth. Some of the must attend courses include: “The Right Associateship: A Stair-step Toward Success;” “Pitfalls to Avoid When Starting or Purchasing a New Practice;” “TDIC Risk Management: The High Cost of Shortcuts;” and many more. These courses are extremely beneficial for the dentists and help them in setting a perfect career. In 2001 CDA foundation was also established with the endeavor to improve the oral health of citizens of California by supporting the dental health profession. The foundation works with the experts in the private business, academic institutions, dentistry and government programs to create programs that can enhance access to care.
