A mission trip is organized by a team of members who wish to serve the human kind by following the principles of Jesus Christ. This trip lasts for one or three weeks. All the team members’ visit the communities which need help to sustain their life. They help them to rebuild their houses, provide food to the hungry and medical help to the sick. For arranging such trips the team requires financial resources. The working people donate a part of their salary and the students offer their pocket money. But still the total amount collected cannot be contributed as sufficient sum. Hence, the biggest challenge for a youth group missions trips is to motivate people for contributing to the funds and thus raising money for the trip. The teenagers make use of some strategies like motivational speeches, selling charity products and silent auctions. Speeches: They choose a person who has already done a number of mission works and delivers a good motivational speech to the people. His words explain his passion for the job. While he shares his testimonials, the enthusiasm gets conveyed to the listeners. He makes the youth to know about the value of fundraising for such a good reason. They should recognize how they will be able to change the community while on the trip. Selling: The teenagers advertise different products and sell them at reasonable price to collect the funds. There are a number of products that are considered to be great items to raise the funds. Some of these products are gift wrap pares, candles and chocolates. They decide a particular day and arrange all the items outside a church so that the visiting people can come to their stalls and purchase the products. They even mention the cause for which they are selling those items. This way all the money collected is saved for arranging the trip. Auctions: even auction is also a better way for raising funds. It involves all the members associated with the team along with the church. In case the church is located in the heart of the street, they make sure that the process of advertisement is followed up neatly. It will entertain more crowds and let them be a part of the whole program. This type of auction is called a silent auction because there is no auctioneer. The people can directly deal with the church members and buy the products which are either donated by the team members or by the local businesses. Coupon Books: The teenagers find these coupon books as the best way to collect the resources for charity. These are exciting because they offer lots of good discounts on the variety of stores like game stores, food courts, retail shops and many others. The youth considers this way as very simple and easy because they know that no one will deny grabbing such an opportunity of great deals. Donating funds for charity is considered as a good deed.
