Men and women use modern office furniture very differently. Men try to keep their space minimalistic and tend not to crowd their desk with too many items. Women on the other hand have a totally different approach. The desk is their second home, especially because they spend majority of their time in the office. They try to make it warm and cozy by adding a few personal touches. Women can use office tables in a variety of creative ways. They stack magazines, clothes, shoes, hairdryers and what not! Some fill their desks with cute things like stuff toys, birthday cards and personal photographs. For women in the corporate world, each day is like a fierce battle. Thus, there are certain emergency items that every woman must have in her desk that helps her fight each day: • Hand lotions: Just because you work in the banking industry and not in the beauty industry, doesn’t mean you don’t take care of yourself. Hand lotions can help any woman get through those really bad dry skin days when your skin feels dull and lackluster. If you are meeting clients in the day, you definitely don’t want them to feel your coarse skin. Therefore, always have a hand lotion to keep skin healthy and smooth. • Eye drops: If you wear lenses on a daily basis, it goes without saying that you should carry the solution with you at all times. But apart from that, if you are working for long hours in front of the computer or have an on-site job it is a good idea to use some use drops to relieve the eyes. • Pain reliever: Everyone just has those weird days of aches and pains. If you have a headache and a big presentation at the same time, your only savior would be a pain reliever. • Healthy snacks: They say one must have six small meals in a day to stay healthy. If you work long unpredictable and have no time for meals, it is best to keep some healthy snacks like granola bars and nuts at your desk. Unhealthy and greasy snacks like chips will only make your skin oily and body bloated. • Makeup kit: This may sound like a cliché but an emergency makeup kit can do wonders if you have a sudden outbreak of pimples or if you decide to go on a date from work or have a big meeting at the end of the day. • Handy sewing kits: Fashion malfunctions are common on the runway and can happen in the workplace also. Save yourself from embarrassment by keeping a sewing kit in your drawer at all times. You know what they say; a stitch in time saves nine!
