Part of what attracted you to the Village of Roscoe in the first place was its idyllic small town feel. With around 11,000 residents and boasting successful schools, recreational paths, and a bicycle and pedestrian friendly main street, it seemed like a good place to call home. You attended a couple village meetings, but it didn't provide you with that connected sense of community you sought. A good place to find that feeling might be a church in Roscoe. Now, you've always believed a church should be more than just a place where like-minded individuals gather to discuss platitudes, because "by their fruits ye shall know them." It should be dynamic. Indeed, it should be the human arms and hands of the body of Christ. The purpose isn't just to talk; it's to act. By studying the Bible together, especially the teachings of Christ Himself, you expect to join a congregation that takes the messages of feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and visiting the sick to heart. You want to be part of a church that understands that the miracles of today come from the people who are willing to dedicate their whole being to bringing them to pass, lifting up the hands which hang down and strengthening the feeble knees. Praying together is good, but you want more. You want to be part of a group that helps the community by taking care of the homeless and supporting schools. You want your neighbors to see your good works, and glorify your Father in Heaven. Of course, it would also be nice if you could meet with this tremendous group of angelic souls over coffee, with a nursery provided for younger children and a Sunday school for older ones. Well, lift your eyes and rejoice, because you can find all this and more when you attend church in Roscoe.
