Toronto Ecommerce Web Design and Development Services (http://www.cgmentor.com/Toronto-ecommerce-web-design-and-development.html) is not the same as a regular website, so the following tips will help you do a good job of optimizing search engines when designing and developing an effective e-commerce website. - The website should have many categories of products: For a large e-commerce website, the product portfolio is divided into several parts. Example: the clothes for ladies can be divided further into many sections such as T-shirts, shirts, skirts.
- First Link: If having two links to the same page, only the first link will be "calculated" by Google. That’s why you should not try to put multiple links in a single page from another page, as this does not help to increase the ranking for the link to the page.
- Handling pages and Duplicate Content: Ecommerce website design many product categories in the subpage. Instead of listing all the products on one page, another better way is to page products. In fact, this is not usually good for SEO. Even there are 2, 3, 4 or 10 different products, but still commonly used the same title, heading, and also main keyword. The duplicate content reduces the effectiveness of the main page optimization.
- Site map: This is an important factor that allows the site to be easy to index. There are two types of sitemaps:
- HTML sitemap is used for visitors to find the appropriate page and
- XML sitemap is designed for the spiders to understand your website overall. They allow quick access and spiders crawling all pages on your site within a minimum amount of time. This helps to increase the amount of indexed pages, as well as the ranking by the internal links "deep" inside the website whether spiders can realize.
The design of a sitemap depends on the size of e-commerce websites which is large, medium or small. If it’s a large site with multiple categories, just listing the categories. Creating a sitemap like this can allow the spiders of the search engines crawling on every page of your website with just 2 steps from the homepage. This is really good for SEO. - Refresh your pages on a regular basis: You should update the website regularly as a signal to let the search engines notice that these pages still "exist". It becomes an extremely important factor when Google providers the service of real-time search allowing indexed and updated almost immediately states, messages and public content from sites such as Twitter and Facebook.
