- Sell stuff. Another great source of funding is to sell items from a wholesaler. People often sell chocolates or homemade items for profit around the community to raise additional capital.
- Hold a small event. Another option to raise money is to hold an event at a local venue. If you tell local musicians or artists you want to host an event for charity, they will often play free of charge.
- Use photos to tell a story. It is important that donors feel connected with the cause you are raising money for. You can emotionally link the donor to the charity by telling a story about the cause and why you are personally passionate about providing aid.
- Show your sponsors what their donation will do. By letting donors know where their money is going, it will add additional value to their contribution. It will transform simple financial assistance into actual contributions that affect the lives of others.
- Look for sponsors. Both local businesses and large corporations will often sponsor charitable ventures. Do research about the different businesses in your area and write them letters stating your cause and informing them of how helpful their donation would be. Also, provide them with a link to your website so that they can obtain further information if wanted.
