One of the popular tourist locations in the state, is also at close proximity from Mysore (80 kms) .The closest airport to Bandipur national park is at Mysore which is 80kms away from national park. By road any bus operating between Mysore and Ooty would take that route and bandipur resorts being a major stop, wouldn’t be a difficult for tourist to reach the place .By rail, nearest station is Nanajangud, which is 55 kms away Bandipur national park is universally known for their tiger reserve. To have a better view of these endangered species safaris, group treks, and elephant rides are available. The safaris provide an incredible experience of having a view of animals very closely. Safaris are conducted by professionals with high safety of tourists. Group treks are conducted by trek experts who keep treks very informative, entertaining and eventful, providing tourists an enriching experience of wild life .Elephant rides is the best part, to have best view of different species on top of an elephant is breathtaking and leaves lifetime impression in the minds of tourists. Bandipur National Park, which is a home for so many endangered species, is highly connected with well laid roads which also make its perfect tourist spot.
